Chinese for Kids Singapore – Learning Materials You Can Use
If you desire a more personal approach of teaching Chinese for kids, you can make use of the several different learning materials being sold in the market. This is especially true if you are the parent of your child and that you do not have a lot of budget. In addition, this setup works best if you have a lot of time on your hands and you are also interested in learning how to speak, read, and write in Chinese.
CDs
The first learning material which you can get is a CD. You can either get a CD composed of Chinese children songs or some stories which are only in Chinese.
With some CDs you purchase, you get a book of the lyrics written in Chinese. There are also other CD products which are intended to teach Chinese but the lyrics are in English, Chinese and Pinyin characters. You can even get a CD that has bilingual versions of the songs in both English and Chinese.
There are even some which you can sing along to in a Karaoke style. These different CDs have been designed to teach Chinese for young children through the use of music, song, and some imagination.
Video
Another learning material you can use is a video.
There are many Chinese learning videos for young children is the market. Many of these video makes use of a hands-on approach on teaching the basic Chinese vocabulary.
Many of these lessons include things such as counting, parts of the body etc. The best thing about about these video is that your child can learn from seeing what she does.
Books
You can also take a look at the available Chinese learning books which you can find in a nearby bookstore. However, the hard thing about this is that you should also know how to read Chinese before you can teach your child how to speak in Chinese.
Games
Apart from the already mentioned learning materials you can use for teaching Chinese for young children, you can also make use of some games.
Remember though, when you are going to teach your child how to speak Chinese, you must also be able to know how to converse in Chinese. If you don’t know Chinese, it may be in your best interest to invest in a few hundred dollars for a private Chinese school wherein you can enrol your child to.
Chinese for Young Children
When you are teaching Chinese for young children, you are also teaching them the important values that they will need when they get older. Since Chinese is slowly becoming an in demand language, having knowledge in this dialect will benefit your child’s future greatly.
Aside from teaching them the language, you are also strengthening your relationship with your child when you are teaching him or her how to speak the language.

I do not yet have a website on teaching Chinese to kids in a fun way… but, this is what I and my wife aspire to do, after seeing how our grand niece stressed, cried and beg not to be sent to Chinese class (after her normal school)!
I hope to learn from You!!
